I want to say that someone in this thread may have mentioned this, but if not, definitely worth a try, to bypass that resistor for high mode only.

 

I swapped #6 coil with #1 and am still getting the misfire code. I even swapped a used coil in #6.

 

Tried this one already.

 

I swapped coils, one and five, now getting misfire on 4 and 5. Wack-a-mole!

 

I’m beginning to wonder if that old gas may have fouled an injector.

 

I just removed the fuel injectors. It looked pretty dirty to me, but, I’m no expert.

 

Do you have spares?

 

I ordered new injectors, these are original.

 

Maybe the bad fuel will beat the crap out of them?

 

Maybe. Either way they have over 200k on them so, won't hurt. Also, I was just thinking; these are the injectors that were on when the head gaskets blew. It was pretty catastrophic and may have fouled them with the dreaded "chocolate milk"...

 

I'm still stuck on the hissing around the booster - large vacuum leak? Has this been addressed or eliminated as a cause? I guess it could be a few things but might be worth ruling out.

 

I have checked all the hoses but I don't have a smoke machine to test.

 

Have you installed the new injectors yet?

 

Waiting on them to be delivered. I did take off the fuel rail and clean the injectors. There were a couple that with broken gaskets stays.

 

I've ordered some lower/upper gaskets. Hopefully it'll be running again once the injectors arrive.

I think that's just the throttle opening and closing but it still doesn't sound too happy.

 

I'm still seeing random misfires and even got a new code, P0355 "Ignition Coil ""E"" Primary/Secondary Circuit". Thinking it's more with the wiring harness. I'm gonna have to check the wiring harness.

 

That's coil #5, are you sure it's plugged in?
