So, I’m getting there. Another Dorman dud (didn’t even bother checking the 4th one), so I’m going with the pioneer. Should be finished tomorrow.

    K's response is spot on(last pg3)

    she typed:
    "Here's a nutshelled AI Google "response" -
While lighter crankshaft pulleys can offer potential performance gains by reducing rotating mass, they also introduce drawbacks like increased engine harmonics, potential for overheating, and reduced alternator output, which could negatively impact overall engine health and reliability."

now this is for a 'stock' engine HP output^^^
I.E. could cause more potential issues in the future than the minor HP gain bc lighter UP than heavy HB

IMO if your boosted or built you prob already upgraded cooling/vehicle is loud & vibrates anyway/upgraded charging system
    I.E. "in for a penny.....in for a pound."

IIRC us subaru guys said (could be argued for any manufacturer) tht the heavy Harmonic Balancer actually balances the crank when in operation.
with a light alum alloy underdrive pulley....this unbalances the crank at high revolutions, causing faster crank bearing wear.

That’s the method I use. No matter how many times I’ve had to remove it now (more than I care to admit), I always have to psyche myself up to do it. Double/triple check I have the breaker bar in the correct spot, etc. & it has never failed to work.

& I do have a welder, although I am by no means experienced enough to make my own remover

I would totally “loan/send” my HB holder
    But
The sending back forth wouldn’t be cost effective as they are $18-$22 on Amazon
