Just picked up a '22 Off-Road. Thought I'd go straight to a Pro grille but I'm actually content with the stock one... for now.

The pro grill always looked prolapsed to me. It sticks out and forward of its mount and I never liked the shape of it side-on.

The standard grill on the ORs is nice and flush mounted.

I think that’s what got me to like the OR more. I love the flush look, which the Pro doesn’t have as you mentioned. I still have the pro grill in case I get bored of it

Slightly off topic, but I just swapped the stock OR grill on my '23 to the Pro grill and the PCS sensor is going crazy telling me to go to the dealer. I've seen some folks on YT complain about the same thing and saw some dudes add washers to the sensor and say it solved the problem. Was curious if any of you guys ran into a similar issue and were able to troubleshoot it?

I ended up doing it myself, and ran through the troubleshooting posted in other threads. I disconnected the battery this evening for 10 minutes and then reconnected it. I also added a washer to the top screw in the sensor because I saw it cleared some other guy’s issues up. But as of now, no luck

How long did you leave the battery disconnected before you started to disassemble?

Decided to keep the OEM grill on my 23 MGM sport but added some tinted vinyl to the chromed toyota emblem. Trying to de chrome as much as possible without breaking the bank.

I didn’t disassemble the whole sensor from the new grill. Just unscrewed the top silver screw added the washer to it to get the angle. The battery was disconnected a total about 12 minutes

I love the looks of my 2021 TRD Sport and would not trade it for anything else as it was just made for it.
Here is a pick of a different kind of grill. No mine got it online somewhere. sharp looking truck

OK - I have seen lots of problems with folks changing out their grill and then having TSS issues. I went with an after market grill (X-Trek because the PRO grill is so common) and had no issues and I am lifted 2" and with bigger tires even more.

Here is my half ass theory - which I have no way of proving - is that most issues are because of the installation process. I wish you lived near me - we would completely uninstall the grill and TSS then do it again from scratch to make sure the grill is not "off" somehow then re-install the TSS same thing make sure it's installed correctly andi s not "off". The TSS is close in radar so I would imagine it has to be aimed within certain perimeters so if the grill is a few mm off somehow or the TSS is then I think you will get issues. That's why some people seem to fix things with a few washers - it compensates for the grill or TSS or both not being installed exactly right and gets the radar back within the parameters required.

Take what I say with a grain of salt - it's just something that I have always thought when it comes to this issue but have no way to be sure.

Looks great OP - i prefer the before only because of the stupid chrome bezel and centre emblem my Sport came with. Front valance had to go too. You do you man - its almost 10 now and i still smile when i look back so until that changes, i keep rolling along.

I hear that - appreiciate you taking the time to respond too. I ran through and did it again this morning and drove 50 miles to see if the computer corrected itself overtime but to no avail. I also saw a few guys end up taking it into a dealer for some kind of 'software' adjustment/calibration. So I am taking the truck to the dealer this evening and having them do it since I still have the factory warranty and it being a part of the toyota lift kit which also has part warranties even if it was self-installed. I'll be doing a 2 inch lift within the month too.
