Wiring Power for a Winch

    Hey All.

    After all these years I got a winch. Actually won it in a raffle! Warn 10,000 lb.

    My question is how do I wire the power up. My guess is in the diagram below.

    I'd like to have some sort of switch to cut power to the winch when it's not in use. But I don't know what type of switch to use or where to place it on my 2006.

    Any input from the experts will be appreciated.

    Do a search on "Blue Seas battery switch". They make marine switches and breakers. Minimum of 100 amps. I think mine is good for 400 amps cont.

    Blue Sea m-series 6006...there are some companies out there that make brackets/complete kits, but I made my own
