have used a tree saver strap, and a snatch block and a wall post a few times in life always been fun! a few times in my life, though i also have a friend who has receivers welded into metal posts in his shop in front of the bay and just connects a smaller travel winch to his battery and then drags it in

lately i've been bing-watching 'tool box tours' on youtube.

    https://www.youtube.com/@ToolBoxTour

it's nice to see how everyone else organizes their tools, and also, what unique, less published brands/tools they've found to work.

one of the most recent one's to pop up is
westling and their aluminum socket trays.
    https://www.westlingusa.com/

those holders are available to come with capri sockets, and i've agonized over re-buying all my sockets just to get those really nice socket holders. being able to finally find the source for just the holder is a huge win for me!

also a lot on ko-ken stuff. i'd never heard of the brand before, but the overall sizes are far more compact than other versions, with the expected japanese quality.

this reddit thread goes over sourcing some of them
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Tools/comments/17hcxu4/where_to_buy_koken/

a lot of talk about their z-series line...

I never found socket holders that I liked so I made my own. Easy to tell at a glance if any sockets are missing at the end of a job.

Nice. Im in the middle of a socket overhaul. Where did you find those labels? I havent found any that look that durable.

    Also you fucked up. Each metric row should go ...8 9 10 10 10 11 12...

    Nice!

I bought a Mac toolbox at a sale in March and it had these in it. I saw some at an Ace hardware store the other day.

I've had those labels hanging around for many years. They do get messed up occasionally. I bought some more recently probably on Amazon. Clean really well (acetone) press firmly and they should hold up well enough.

Hoping to do another one of these for my garage.

This was up on my wall, but I sold it to make a bigger one.
