First Post and this is the second thread that I found on this Tacoma 4.0 intake Spacer Mod.

I really want one of those intake spacers. I read the 33 page thread of the first intake spacer thread and was amazed at all the knowledge that I gained on the 4.0. I was unable to reply to the first and the second thread do to something about having to wait 30 days to post.

I'm pretty good at home porting and when I get this spacer, I plan on doing Plugs, PCV replacement, Porting and polishing the lower aluminum intake, porting the upper plastic manifold, porting the TB for starters.

Someone in the first thread mentioned the less expensive Chinese K & N clone cold air intake. Does anyone have any links to that cheaper Cold Air intake?

I also want to (in the future) add shorty headers and a good cat back exhaust system and the 3 degree retard gears.

After I get all of my mods accomplished, I will look into Tuning. How and who does remote ECU Tuning?

I found these less expensive E Bay headers: BFC Shorty Tube Exhaust Header Manifold For 12-15 Tacoma/11-14 Tundra 4.0L V6, LINK=

BFC Shorty Tube Exhaust Header Manifold For 12-15 Tacoma/11-14 Tundra 4.0L V6 | eBay

Does anyone have experience with these headers (GOOD or BAD)/ FITMENT?

    thank You in advance

    Bill

Are you talking about a plenum spacer or a throttle body spacer?

I have tune and plenum spacer added after tune. The tuner said the computer will self adjust to adapt to the spacer. With the spacer, It has moved the torque curve down maybe 500 rpm sooner to feel the hit IIRC. I think worthwhile and I'd do again. Theres some company that has a really nice plenum spacer that has an o-ring groove in it for the lower sealing surface. The other option uses a paper gasket.

Exhaust Cam gears make a big difference too. Would highly recommend that mod

Thanks for replying. Can you link the manufacture of that O Ringed Spacer? Sounds very nice.

Once installed, your manifold brackets wont reach anymore, I welded extensions to mine and made them all fit again except for eliminating the bracket on front position

That spacer is very nice BUT,,, for $140ish bucks, that less expensive spacer will work just fine.
I'm good with modding stuff to get things to work properly. Like you, I will make those brackets work like factory. ;-)
