    A candlepin ball would’ve left a much smaller hole…

Also, on the mortar recommendation :hattip:

On the positive they probably don't salt the pin setters all winter long so they shouldn't be rusty. :)

Congratulations on the new source of fun money!

Has anyone replaced the spark plugs on a 4.0 Tacoma? I’ve never dealt with coil packs but I don’t want to go to the dealership either. Anything to watch out for? Hints, tips, or tricks?

By far one of the easier V6 spark plug jobs to do. I think I remember a bracket I had to remove on the drivers side, but other than that easy.

I did mine earlier this Spring.
An extra long 3/8 extension is helpful. Maybe a u-joint at the ratchet to help with some of the angles.
Some of my coil connectors were really tight so there may be some fanagling with rotating the coil onto the connector.

    Here’s the write up:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-spark-plug-change-1-gr-fe.30479/

Beware if you use anti seize, lower your torque accordingly.

It shouldn’t take the 2-4 hours and some of the disassembly on the driver’s side might not be needed (see ujoint and extension recommendations above).

    Good luck

I was just going on what the write up said. Maybe you and @chris4x4 can talk about editing the write up? Plenty of 2nd Gens still bombing around out there :burnrubber:

    Nope….
    Not interested.
I learned a long time ago I waste my time.
So, I sit back and eat popcorn and enjoy the show and watch keyboard warriors…
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve helped a ton of people when I get a pm or referral. Just about every state I’ve made
    Phone calls to.
    I’m just tired of arguing….
