Where did you get the dash overlays? They look good! I’m wanting to do the same but in blue crush - or the closest I can get to it.

Agree. I also got the perforated center panels for that reason.

Here's a link to a thread with more info about the connector as well as DIY info that can be helpful for other cameras.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/installed-dash-cam-using-factory-pigtail.830200/

Think through what sort of parking mode you want. There's the very basic sort which just continues to record while the vehicle is off. More advanced sorts can include recording when motion is sensed - either by video motion detection using the camera sensor or impact detection using the g-shock sensor. Timelapse is also good, and couples well with impact-detection.

In all of those, it's important that the dashcam shut down below a certain battery voltage threshhold. Some cameras can do this themselves, others require a device to cut power on their behalf.

    More info at https://www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/dash-cam-new-buyers-guide-hub#security

Gonna post a write up for the build. After 1 year and 4 months, we finally got full suspension and most things dialed in. Stance makes me happy!!!

RIGID Industries 20" SR-Series Pro lightbar in white spot/flood combo with Amber-Pro lens covers
    • requires some trimming on the oem grille, used Bulletpoint Fab's universal brackets
    • lightbar with the lens cover sits perfectly in the grille
    • true amber lens covers provides protection and modularity, can remove/add them by loosening brackets
RIGID Industries 6" SR-Series SAE fog light kit
    • perfect plug and play fitment
    • didn't opt for lens covers but there is enough space to put them on, will add on in the future
    • these are brighter than the headlights, make sure to properly angle down during install.
will be installing the full RIGID Industries suite over the next few months including: ditch lights, 40" lightbar for the roof rack, chase lights, and rock lights

Nice wheels. I've been considering the white wheels for my white Taco.

Spent $850 on a new windshield. And, now have some kind of rattle/knock in, or around the A-pillar that only shows up on rough roads or speed bumps since the windshield was installed. To make it worse, I’m spending another $300 this morning to have the windshield tinted again! ‍

There's an airbag in that pillar. I'd get the windshield installer to fix it since it wasn't there before they futzed with that area installing your new glass.

Anyone use the OEM Screen Protector? PT976-35241 I am aware there are many alternatives...just curious if anyone has used the OEM and their thoughts/opinions. Thanks!

Yes there is… went back to the glass installer and he removed and checked the two 10mm bolts holding the a-pillar on and it sounds like one of them wasn’t tight or didn’t catch the threads. Anyway, all seems to be good now.

My truck has that installed from the port. Works well and does seem to limit fingerprints.

Did my 1600km 1/mo complimentary check up - might have gone a bit over the 1600km but I’m 1 week early of the 1mo part IMG_2349.jpg

Installed the RAV4 radio knob (p/n 90010-23059) that everyone is so enamored of. I agree the stock radio knob is far too thin and slippery for its intended function. Many of the aftermarket knobs are too gaudy.

No one seems to have mentioned that the cavity for the stem is about 2mm shallower than the stock knob, so it sits rather too proud of the radio face. I took an aluminum rod of the same diameter (4mm), shaved it down to make a D-shape, heated it up while holding it in some visegrips, and then carefully melted another 2mm deeper into the cavity. Fits great now.
