Replaced leaf springs on my father in laws DCSB with some General HD Springs. He still had the 3 leaf pre TSB springs and one was completely cracked in half and it also sat a bit front high after a shop used a strut/spring combo that gave him some front lift. It would squat a ton when loaded up with firewood or towing the trailer lol. Impressed with the General HD for a budget OEM+ replacement, everything went smoothly and they are quite and ride well so far with proper rake and positive arch again.

Pretty easy mod . I installed new valve stem caps! Much respect to those that serve in law enforcement. I'm pretty sure the new valve stems help when Wheeling

Installed new brake pads, rotors, calipers (Power Stop KC137 kit), and pre-pressed wheel bearing/hub assemblies (SKF BR930978) at 252000Km. Wish I had ordered new brake dust shields cause they're falling apart, will do those whenever I upgrade front suspension.

4 hour job, 3 of which was slow disassembly, fighting rusty bolts, etc.

What a huge difference with the OTT tune! Totally different truck, now just have to do a log of the truck and tweak my tune for my truck. Big thumbs up! @JustDSM thanks again!

Finally got the 6112s installed on 7/5, replaced a 3rd gen TRD OR suspension. IMG_0252.jpg 5100s in the rear with a .5 block from the 2023 Trail Edition. IMG_0258.jpg Greased the LCA cam bolts while I was in there to make sure they don’t seize like the last ones did. Also installed an Eibach stage 2 on my buddy’s 3rd gen.IMG_0249.jpg Amazing how much easier this truck is to work on after the frame was replaced last year. Basically everything suspension/steering related is now new and rust free except for the original CVs.

Finally got around to wiring the third brake and dome lights on the truck cap. Used the existing hardware the comes with Leer caps. Ordered a three wire/six pin harness, three wore cause I had no need to auto locks or windows. Pigtailed onto my taillight, used an add-a-circuit to the dome fuse, and grounded to the frame. Pretty straight forward after a little research but bummed I misplaced my wire strippers.

Truck only came with one key and fob, wanted a spare so I picked up a $21 flip key and $30 mini VCI j2534 diagnostic cable off EBay. Followed this thread to use Techstream to code the key and the steps listed to program the fob:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-programmed-and-coded-for-2015-tacoma.690027/

The locksmith charged $20 to cut the key so I’m $71 all in and $41 if I wanted to make another. For anyone wanting to go the flip key route, I first went to Ace hardware and it wouldn’t fit in their key duplicator machine. I went to a locksmith and it wouldn’t fit into their duplicator either and they had to use the code on the door lock to cut it like a new key. Nothing wrong with that route, but you’ll need a real locksmith to do it.
