Once you pull it out, there will be two blue bulb holders on the back. You twist them with a flat head screw driver to take them out.

Yeah that would be cool. I went to the dealership and they want another $90 to fix the problem. I said just sell me the bulb and they have to order it.

Does autozone sell these? I want to fix this asap to forget about it because I feel ripped off. BTW I plan on doing everything possible myself from now on.

fuck that dude! you shouldnt have to pay. you paid the dealer to fix a problem and the problem still persists, which means they obviously didnt fix it, which means they still owe you... i see this sorta thing all the time on The People's Court

call Toyota and tell them what happened or take them rat bastards to The Peoples Court!

sometimes i think when you take your truck to the stealership, they'lll fiix one problem and put a almost bad part somewhere else in your truck, so it can go bad and you'll have to take it back.

Mine go out and I just tap it with my finger and it comes back on. It only happens like once every few months.

$90 for that is ridiculous. I'm obviously in the wrong business.

haha! dude! my truck did the exact same thing also, before i installed a new head unit, I would have to tap the top of the cd player to get it to play. that part of our truck must have been made by the same guy or something lol

but yeah give the tapping thing a try. i i have to tap mine pretty hard sometimes to get the lights to come on, so dont be scared to give it a good whack!

If it is intermittent then it is most likely that the wire connections on the bulb holder are not making good contact with the copper on the board. after you pull out the bulb holder, look at the copper pads where it makes contact on the back of the climate controls. if they look dirty at all , then clean them with either an pencil eraser or q-tips and some vinegar. check the wire leads on the bulb holder for corrosion as well.

Thanks for the link. Toyota broke down and fixed it for the price of the bulb.
