In customtacos.com there is an articles about the upgrade keyless entry for the alarm, it's amazing, only disconnect one cable and you got an alarm. it's available on 2003 model i think, but have you ever tried in our 2005+ models?
Why toyota has made that? Why don't give the car with standard alarm?

I just went outside and was going to be the test subject for this, but the kick pannel did not want to come off nicely, and I didn't feel like looking up how to take it off today, so I still don't have an answer for anyone.

However, truth be told I would suspect that since everything else changed for the gen 2 trucks there is no real reason to expect that the wiring stayed the same, so I doubt this will work on my truck when I am motivated enough to really look at it.

    Thank's Mark.

I'll take a better look next week sometime. Have too much on the Honey Do list today to really devote any time to taking the truck apart again. Besides if I spend another day working on the truck so soon after doing the 4wd switch I think she may kill me. LOL

Went and looked at mine, it is not connected to anything already. Of course, my taco does not even chirp or anything when I lock or unlock. Can anyone help me with this problem?
