I think I was close to $600 but still is a pain worrying about my bumper shredding my tread and would be worth it...other option of selling my arb for no where near what it would cost to get a new bumper that would have proper clearance and drop a few hundred more for the bumper is not really worth it at this point..

On discount tire news, dude looked at it closer and assured me that there is no structural issue with the tire and is not thru the rubber all the way so I should be fine running as is, even airing down into the teens for psi...so guess I'll roll the dice and if I lose a tire, dude at discount will lose his nuts!

ARB makes a solid bumper, but it's a little too bulky for my liking. I don't think I'll ever touch a tire to this bumper :p

Make sure to carry a spare! I'm assuming you have the off road warranty?

Yea I have the full warranty covering off road mishaps, and I have a full size bfg at and a factory spare..but it'll hold...I hope

Yea I would have chosen a different bumper if I were in the market now, but I really didn't know the bumper market when I got my arb

    A few bolts are different.
    Warranty is a comfortable feeling!

I did know the bumper market when I bought mine (not for full price either) and ARB has always been at the top of my list. I like its bulk and proven heritage.

"Thats what your mother said last night Trebec!" ZING :D

I took a leap of faith when I order a plate bumper from CBI. They hadn't built one yet and all they could tell me was "it looks a little like the arb and all pro, but different...."

Then later they sent me a hand sketch of what it would look like...

but it worked out for me, the bumper in this thread is the one they put on a pallet and sent to me

A small handful of select mods.
Also keep in mind that the ARB was designed for more expedition style off roading and not hard core rock crawling. ARB's are an everyday facet on most trucks and SUV's in Australia so they had to keep aesthetics in mind. I think when originally designed the thought was 265's at max on tire size. The bumper comes to the end of the fender as it should for aesthetics. But people want to go bigger with less lift (or lift limitations in our case) and well you have to cut fender, bumper, and the body mount on our trucks. IF you leave your sway bar on you will probably never get into the bumper with a tire either. Something else ARB had in mind possibly?

All in all if I hadn't got the deal on the bumper I probably would of had an All Pro Hybrid before they discoed them. I like that bumper a lot.

I am starting to think that John's new CBI rear bumper might be the right fit for me if it had some more plate on it making it a hybrid rear. Hmmm.......

If you dream it... they will build it. Isn't that how that saying goes? :)

When you are ready just call CBI they will build it how you want.
