Nice, Stanley! Glad you didn't go with the pink flares. These will help save your paint from all that Montana backroad gravel, eh? (sorry, too much time in the Canadian threads lately)

After replacing my suspension, I found reason to rattle my truck more than – well, probably ever. I went down a dry river bed and shook my truck to kingdom come. I shook it so hard, I must have broken something in my driver-side window assembly, because the thing rattled like no tomorrow and didn't feel right when I rolled it down.

I took it apart this morning and discovered that at the forward edge of the window there's a metal track with a rubber sleeve in it that guides the window as it goes up and down. It's supposed to be held in place by a couple of brackets that are welded to the track. The factory spot welds broke loose. There wasn't much holding them. 'Took 'em over to Ray-the-welder and 20 minutes/$20 bucks later, I had my truck back together. The most frustrating part was trying to get the cir-clip off the window handle. I had to make a make-shift tool (an old CD that I cut a 5/8 inch wide notch into it) and used that to push the cir-clip off the roll-down handle.

The best part was that I didn't break anything. (I usually can find a way to mess something up further).

Finally got around to taking my starter out for a rebuild.
Removing it took alot longer than i thought due to the seized in bolts, awkward positions, and exshaust headers in the way. First time doing it and took over an hour, but then brought it down to the Toyota dealership to the mech that sold it to me. He fixed it in about 15 mins and charged me $11.43 :D

Oh and got the kitten mod...pictures soon:cool:

that's why I love my white. It looks brand new after I wax it, even with all the dings and scratches 170k miles will do.

Might be a little low, hard to tell from that angle. take a measurement from the ground to top of the wheel well. Stock height should be about 36" IIRC.

Had a local guy bend me a stainless cat-back with an 18" Magnaflow oval off-in/c-out. Sounds ok but no where near as "throaty" as I had hoped. Can a tip make a difference for sound ? ? Should have had him put in the 14" instead. Then he tells me I have a crack in my manifold.. so now I'm saving for DT or NW headers :D just needed the excuse to get them!

Then did an oil change today and switched over to Mobil 1 fully synth.

She's runnin nice, really responsive and I'l do the deck plate mod this week for added flow!!

lift, big boy tires, deck plate, no more sway bar, painted stuff
Disconnected the sway bar, fixed the bumper's alignment from a tiny wreck, painted the front skid plate, I'll get a pic of the skid plate/bumper tomorrow when we get the plate on.

35 seems a little low and 37.5 seems high - I was at 35.5 and 36 on my old suspension. do you have an AAL? Maybe hte previous owner had a shell...any signs of wear from that? Could explain why the rear is so jacked up now...

Did the first major mod to my "new" old 95 Tacoma. Seats were torn in a few spots so I decided to cover them up. Installed marathon seat covers in mossy oak duck blind pattern. Things are just getting started. I should be back home for good in a few weeks and a major suspension upgrade is in the works. Parts on on the garage floor, but will have to wait until i get home.
