i bought a half hide of leather from Tandy leather (since they wouldn't sell it by the cut i bought the whole thing) did my doors with it and now have 10 sets of doors i can sell. i also have 7 sets of the #10 1/2in. screws needed to replace the plastic welds you drill out left over from the box i bought at home depot. i will throw those in for free for the first 7 that wants them. I'm asking $20 a set for them shipped.

i followed the steps from this thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/2755-diy-leather-arm-rests.html

Given the time it took for you to sell out of these, and if you made a few $$$ on it, might want to consider a bit of a side business.....

I would have jumped on this, but was out for the weekend and just saw it.

...and if you do consider doing these for others, consider making reg cab ones. They are slightly longer.

    Alex,
Just got them in today and it took me about 2 hrs to put them in.

However, I learned real quick, on the first one, how to do them. I tried the drill route and was not the best experience. Ended up epoxying that one back on with the screws.

My advice for everyone is to take a razor blade and pop off the top of the plastic weld. Much smoother process.

    Thanks man.
