Would like to know the pro's and con's with using the receiver hitch mounted winch on the front and rear of the truck. Just trying to get some info on what type of winch to go with and front mount with out changing the front bumper.

The obvious pro is that you only have to have one winch and it can be swapped to either end of the truck.

If you're going to use it a lot, a bumper mount is stronger and you won't have to manhandle it into position when you need it in whatever ackward stuck state you happen to be in.

Receiver mount let's you keep stock bumpers and not carry the weight of the winch around if you don't need it.

And yeah, winch from the back.

It's not hard. One Saturday for the front hitch itself, one saturday for the wiring harness hookup, front and rear. Mine took a little longer because I had to remove and reinstall my bushwacker fender flares, in order to remove the plastic fender. You won't have to.

I don't know the name of his but I recently (today) found this option as well by @Mobtown Offroad http://mobtownoffroad.com/product/front-recovery-bar/ I've never used them but they are an official Vendor here and I know at least one individual who is super happy with his. I'm looking at these myself.

I just found an interesting front hitch set up for tacoma that looks like it sits way high and is less than half the cost of some others. Anyone use the Draw Tite Front Mount from Auto Everything. i would love to see a pic of one mounted on a Taco if you have one to see if it fits as high as it appears to.

I believe looking at the photos on auto anything that it will sit below the factory skid plate if that's ok. Don't know about your ground clearance needs. I like @HolyHandGrenade got the @Mobtown Offroad front recovery bar. He already has his obviously, I ordered mine during thanksgiving Black Friday sale and heard back from them yesterday it's being welded up now. I think you'll find it is the highest sitting hitch mount out there since it comes thru the lower valence. I also suppose it depends on what you're using it for for me it'll be a winch and cradle one day and like you I wanted it to sit up high.
