New to this forum, I'm a long time Tacoma owner, my 2000 TRD 4WD 5-speed manual is 12 years old in September, with 162,000 on it. It's a great truck, use it daily and it pulls my Casita travel trailer up and down the mountains for fun and vacation time.

I'm on 3rd set of tires, Toyo's which are terrific......smooth, quiet and work well in CO snows. I have original clutch......I baby it, and wonder how long it will last?

Tacoma is white fitted with a white ARE cap with side opening windows that are very convenient for bed access. Have a soft bed liner, installed when new, so don't even remember who mfg'd it, but with a small end-cap tent, it's fine for sleeping in back country.

Here's a couple photos of my rig below.....this truck has been lots of fun places and hopes to see many more.

First, Welcome from Florida and that's a nice truck and trailer you have there. I was thinking about the clutch on my truck the other day, I have a 1999 SR5 4x4 and it has 130K on the clock, I also have the OE clutch, you must be doing something right. Mine is good also:D How often, while pulling the trailer do you go into 5th gear? I'm sure the grade of the road and conditions warrant different driving. I've had friends with different Toyotas (and a Nissan or two) get close to 250K out of a stock clutch. So I say keep going on that clutch. Did you do anything on the rear springs to compensate for the weight of the trailer? Sorry for the all the questions, but the more I ask the more I know. Last, Welcome to TW:)

Hey DonColorado, I know you from the Fiberglass Forums. I've been pulling those things off an on with a 99 Tahoe since 2003. The danged Tahoe is killing me with repairs so I'm Dumping it and going to buy a TRD V6, Double Door. Either a 2007 I'm looking at tomorrow or a new one....ouch!

I just joined this Forum tonight and found you with the TRD. Do you use a WDH? I couldn't tell from your pictures.

    Thanks,
    Keith / anvilmanco
