    Hey everybody,

I am new to TacomaWorld but not new to car forums. I am actually a Subaru guy and have been an active member on Legacygt.com for 6 years. I have done a few quick searches but my experience tells me somebody who is regularly active on this site will be able to help me much faster. I just don't have much time to spend trolling this forum. Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

My younger brother just picked up this 2009 Tacoma and I would like to get him a new grill. On the subaru forum we have a thread titled "Compilation of all available grills" and I was hoping you guys might have something along the same lines here. I definitely want to get him something in black but not sure if I should go mesh or some other pattern.

I apologize to those who want to see everybody follow proper forum protocol and will inevitably post replies of "search". Thanks again for your help.

lol..just trying to guage his preferences...grilles can be bolted on or the grille can be cut out then the grille can be custom made to replace what was cut out. it mainly depends on his desire to work on the project.

Thanks. That one looks really good. I think I like the look of the flush grill vs. the sunken version but it's his truck so I'll let him decide.

Thanks for the write-up on the Satoshi. Is the hack and fiberglass/bondo required or is there a direct fitment option?

I've had the front end of my Suby torn apart more times than I can count. Baked headlights to remove reflectors, HID retrofit, custom grille, etc. My brother is more of a "plug and play" type of guy.

PWDRDAYZ does have a good point though, we should have a dedicated thread with pictures of every grill option out there. I'm fairly new to the forum as well and am also trying to decide on a grill.

Thanks for the links guys. I've already spent way too much time looking through different threads. The hack method looks pretty easy as long as you take your time, especially the one using the existing plastic from the discarded grill. Might just have to black (or white) out his headlights while I'm at it.

I actually looked at this truck at the Infiniti dealership, it's nice! I just hope he was able to talk them down a fair bit from their $32k asking price.

Definitely. The owner and his wife are good friends of the family. I've had 3 subarus over the last 10+ years so I'm the only one in the family that hasn't purchased all my cars from them. My brother traded in his 2000 QX4.
