Yeah. They're not the first ones to make tube doors for the FJC but theirs do look nice.

Okay guys. Tell me if you can help with this. My girl has a 1999 Corolla with a front end noise. It sounds like one of the struts is loose or the steering rack is rattling around. Only rough pavement and gravel roads cause it to happen. As soon as she puts her foot on the brake, it goes away. It started before the brake job I did, so I know I didn't cause it. But I also know that none of her brake system is loose. Any other ideas?

I haven't checked bolts on the steering rack. I've checked strut top bolts and steering knuckle connections. All tight. And none of those would explain why the sounds goes away while the brakes are engaged.

I like Seaside up to Fort Stevens and Long Beach, WA, but I used to live right there so it was a convient choice. Haven't hit up any south of there though.

could be a bad axle shaft? A bushing could be toasted... A strut could be failing... I'd jack up the front end and check everything over... Spin the wheels too and see if you can simulate the sound. Shake the wheels side to side also and check for anything that is loose.

Yeah I hadn't thought about bad axle shaft. Possibly bearings/bushings. I will have to dive deeper.

Any suggestions for a Portland area dealer for service? Gotta see of I can get some work done on the Corrola under warranty.

The few interactions I've had with Portland-area Toyota dealerships, I'd recommend the same as Mike

Has anyone Plasti-Dip their emblems? I have tried to search for this on a "how to" and have not been able to find one. Do I need to remove and then re-apply them or can I do it while they are on the truck?

You must be new here.

    Search

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/detailing/124474-plasti-dip-mega-thread.html

But to answer your question - no you do not remove them if you're plasti dipping. If you remove them, you might as well paint them. Plastidip will peel off relatively easily. But apparently it holds up pretty well unless you specifically want to remove it.

Thanks, I've looked through a little of that thread but couldn't find a definitive answer.

So just tape off and spray

Didn't mean to be rude. Don't get me wrong. It's just literally a mega-topic on this forum.

    Here's a how-to from a honda forum. Same thing.

Wilsonville toyota is where I would go. They have always been pretty quick on turnaround as well as if they don't hit the target time then they have always given me a discount.
