Yeah I'm intentionally doing a drain and fill on the tranny this is the second time in 2 days. The first time I put 4 in and it didn't trickle back. So this am. I drained it again got the 4 back and put 5 in and still nothing back after bringing it up to temp.

I think he is meaning to be working on the tranny... he didn't specify initially so I assumed he was talking about motor oil.

I'm not the sharpest tack on the board but I do know the difference between a oil pan and a transmission.

tons of people drain the tranny oil instead of the engine oil lol.
seen a couple threads on it, and thats the people that are man enough to say they did it.

so let me get this straight, you drained your tranny oil, put 5 qts in it, drained it again and only 4 came out, and you cant find where its leaking at?

edit: look, found 2 threads in like 30 seconds hah

Seems obvious but several folks have trained the tranny on accident thinking it was the oil pan.

Here it is from above. Read slowly. There is no leakage and I did it again because the original three that came out was pretty dirty.

"Yeah I'm intentionally doing a drain and fill on the tranny this is the second time in 2 days. The first time I put 4 in and it didn't trickle back. So this am. I drained it again got the 4 back and put 5 in and still nothing back after bringing it up to temp."

And one more thing my engine oil dipstick is full and clear yellow Mobil 1. I can't imagine it coming from the factory that low, I park in a garage and the truck leaks nothing.

Is the check nut on the passenger side of the transmission above the exaust heat shield?
