I have a 06 Tacoma 4wd 6 speed manual and here lately when I depress the clutch pedal it makes an annoying noise that sounds like a old wooden rocking chair rocking back in forth. It really does it when im slowly starting off in first or when Im having to ride it in traffic and I was just wondering if theres a way to lubricate it or if something is going bad?

I have that problem with my 1st gen. I think its the springs on the clutch. If that makes sense

It is actually does it louder when its hot, but it still does it when its cold. I thought it would eventually go away but it seems like it is only getting worse.

I think it might be a different issue with the 1st gens. The 2nd gens are plastic i guess..

Every winter mine is silent, when it's hot it's rediculously loud. I doesn't bother me at all, it adds character.

This is a TSB on 2nd gen. I had mine fixed by the dealer. Nothing is wrong with it, just bad design by Toyota. They will replace the assembly if they can't get rid of the noise.

Just make sure you know how to replicate it before you take it in. Generally when it warms up it will squeak

it sounds like the plastic assembly in the cab the part thats actually attached to the pedal itself in my truck. i would not describe it as a squeak but, more of a creak lol.

would white lithium grease help this i only ask because i have a brand new tube of it lol?

if not i would assume that some type of rubber/plastic safe grease would do the trick.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
Lube the bushing/linkage thing with white lithium grease..it works.
My father's X-Runner had the same problem, we did that probably 9 months ago? and it's been gone ever since then.
