    Check out my sig...
Heres a little how-to. I know my way around using AR's, field stripping and cleaning but never really put one together (although I did swap trigger/hammer springs on my 15-22). I can say that if you read this a time or two you'll save yourself a TON of time putting your lower together.

so i have been looking at optics.... THERE IS SO MUCH i was curious if anyone is running the vortex strikefire optic with 3x magnifier??.. i really want an ACOG but dont know if i really want to shell out the money for it yet... if i do i have to wait a little longer lol.... any other opinion on optics would be good too... i guess the various styles of shooting will come into play too... is the ACOG better for farther distances...

I got the vortex strikefire optic with 3x magnifier for my brother as a Christmas gift this last year. From what I hear, he likes it - I haven't had a chance to play around with it since last season. To be honest though, these guns are just like our trucks - the aftermarket is booming and there are so many different set-ups you could go on forever. I say, just keep adding to the stockpile and be prepared for any situation.

The Vortex is fine for the money. If you can spend twice the money on a used Aimpoint ML2 or similar optic, you will get MUCH MORE than twice the durability and clarity. You might check out the equipment exchange on ar15.com or similar sites.

The Vortex magnifier is junk, to put it bluntly. Glass on it is OK but the FOV is really restricted and the eye relief is unforgiving. Shift your head just a little bit forward or backward and the already-small FOV is reduced significantly. It's also very big and bulky for what it is.

Bilstein 5100s up front with OME 885s, rear Add-A-Leaf, LED lights (tails, dome, map, plate lights), Kicker 8" in custom fiberglass enclosure under back seat, Kicker speakers throughout and Kicker amp for sub, Pioneer DVD Player, Satoshi Grille with Devil Horns, Leer 100XQ.
I have a basic DSA setup. Traded for it, then added misc bs to it. I honestly don't even know what they are worth, I just wanted something to do some plinking and just mess around with. Looking to trade, I need some new tires (255/60/18) or a flatbed car trailer for my '40.......[IMG]
