who has problems after a 3" or less lift with vsc and who doesn't

just wondering, thinking about leveling the 09

 

2007 here... VSC be damned

 

The anti sway kept activating on sharp corners, removed both ABS fuses and now it behaves properly.( will put them back for winter probably )

 

2007 with 2" lift front & back...never had an issue with the vsc.

 

i have a 3" lift in the front a 2" in the back and i have noticed that the VSC fires off a little more than it did before... maybe like once a month now. it only happens when i make a tight turn and i catch the rear tire on a curb or bounce into a driveway... but its only when making a tight turn.

so, is it a problem? no.

 

Get the skid control ecu recalibrated after your lift .

 

I'm lifted 2.5" up front and just over 2.5" in the rear and i've never had a problem with VSC. Apparently results may vary.

2.25 in the front and 2.50 in the rear and no issues.
well, the same as before the lift, very rare.
I'm old now and drive slower.

 

Mine beeps for a split second once in a blue moon around certain types of turns. Probablly has more to do with me not rotating my tires as often as I should, which reminds me ugh.

 

I have about 2.5'' of lift and I have never had problems with the system before and after the lift. Then again, I drive the truck gently, if that makes a difference.

 

I have a 2" lift and over sized tires, and am having a problem with my VSC and ABS lights just coming on. I've had my truck for a year, and no problems with either lights coming on. So I took it to les shwab's to get the tires rotated and to have them take a look. and all they did is re-set the lights, not exactly what I had in mind...I'm wondering what could be the problem.
Also had a new alarm system put in the day before the lights came on, sounds dumb; but could this have had something to do with it?

 

Have you had the Skid Control ECU reset after your lift and tires ?

The timing of the alarm system would make me suspicious , are you having the VSC engage , or are the lights just on ?

 

The lights are on, in the way the check engine light comes on, on the dash....But now those lights (ABS & VSC) have came on and then went off and then came back on again, when I start the truck...they're currently off.

 

My hunch is that if you lose the forward rake it will have more of an effect on the VSC.
My very non-scientific research (seeing the Tundra fix and reading about who has problems and who doesn't) tells me that a more level or "bro" lean stance will trigger it more easily.

 

I have a 3" lift and, much like many others here, the VSC will bitch at me briefly when I am going around a sharp turn, especially if I catch a curb, speed bump, or just crappy pavement.

 

2010, lifted it almost exactly a year and 21xxx miles ago and no problems

I just had it happen yesterday. I was getting off the freeway on a sweeping u turn shaped off ramp. There was some gravel in the corner and I was probably braking too hard. I hit the gravel as I was braking and turning and the truck beeped several times real fast for about a second and it did something to the motor, like it killed it or something. after a second the beeping stopped and the motor was fine.
This seems more dangerous to me than not having this system. I am braking hard in a corner with loose gravel and now I have this beeping and no power to distract my attention from my driving. What were they thinking? How do I bypass this? Did someone say to remove the ABS fuses? I don't like it anymore and I want it gone.

 

I voted yes up top. I only have one turn that I have to be carefull on near my house where the vsc will kick on. That's only when i'm cruising pretty good. other than that i've never had an issue on any other turns.

 

09 4x4, 2in life. No problems with VSC
