Sweet! oh, and I recently updated the Lake Cumberland meet thread. I kinda sorta let it die . . . BUT! I'm still game to guide some of you around the trails down here.

Looks like I got me a new job today. Gonna try to pull a fast one and get my boxes tomorrow morning and head on over to Midas. Current job has no clue what is about to happen.

Stopped over at the Midas @ Polaris and luckily the GM was there and I got an interview right away. He says to me "This is not how I normally do things, but you want to come start work for me tomorrow (tuesday), we'll make it happen" I said "No, shit" I'll be at a diffeerent location, but it's still a million dollar/year, 100K/month shop.

I"ll get a pay raise. Comission rate will go up at least 3% or an hourly base will be at least $0.75 higher than I am now.

There is no Midas within this franchise (100+ stores in the franchise) that is open on Sunday. Plus another full day off.

Regular holidays off, paid weekly, direct deposit.

Trying to get Kyle to lend me a hand tomorrow morning with loading my boxes. I think I can get everything in my truck. I guess I could make use of the cab as well.

Ahhh...THIS is why I bought a sexy mutha-fuckin', ass-haulin, stupid little 5 lug Tacoma!!!! Pick my shit up and go.

i've heard a lot of good things about mazda. i know a few people that have the cx-9 and have been trouble free and love them. the one from indy came in tonight so we will be checking it out tomorrow night. we are going to norris lake wed-sun so if we end up bringing one of them home i want to take it instead of the taco but would hate to take a less than 1 day old new to me vehicle on a long trip like that. hope we get it though

congrats on the new job! hope it works out for you

beautiful looking pup. smart dogs. when i was growing up we had a collie and rot mix. the color and markings were of a rot but with longer hair like a collies but not quite as long as a collie. he was an amazing dog. i miss you Rocky :(

great dogs! That is one of the many pups I want to have

absolutely. I am not too big on buying a new to me car and taking it on a road trip the next day but, think of it this way, renting a car to take on a trip wouldn't be any different!

Either way, good luck and hopefully you guys bring it home!

Appreciate the kind words about the new jobbie. Mostly just worried about getting my stuff in the morning. No worries Brian, Kyle will be there to help load my boxes up, I'll owe him one.

That is a great looking dog Brian. Wish we had the room for a dog that size. I'd pick up a rot in a heartbeat. Wonderful dogs.

Congrats on the job! I landed a full-time position at an express oil changin' place today, it's nothing impressive but better than the ~15hrs a week I've been getting...if anything I'll just have some money to spend on the taco!

Hes a good looking put.... Going to be a big guy!

Didn't make it to Lake Norris this year. Had a few plans to but they never seemed to actually work out. Instead the family planned a week in San Diego for labor day. I'm really looking forward to it as I have never been to California.

GL w/ the new car purchase. Have you looked at any Highlanders? Both my sisters have them and love them. One is an 03 and the other is an 09 Hybrid. Very nice cars w/ lots of room for kids/dogs. Just a suggestion.

    Congrats on the new job!

Congrats on the new job as well. Hope it works out for you!

With Kyle's help, went as well as it could for totally bailing on one job for another. Filled out paperwork, re-organized my tools, took the rest of the day off as my off day for the week and will start banging em' out tomorrow morning.

Discovered I was a week overdue to renew my Drives Lic, so I did that this afternoon.

Quickstop Oilube. I worked at a tire shop (actually owned by firestone) out of highschool doing basic oil changes/brakes/busting tires and the physical aspect of it was a huge problem as far as my knees go, so I'm hoping that the no-tires thing works out in my favor.

Hopefully won't have to do it more than a year or two until I graduate, but the $$ will be nice.

    GL!

You should look into an Auto program at either a Communit College or there are specilized training centers like Univeral Technical Institue.

Speaking of UTI, why would they name their school that?

    Hmm...UTI...

    Universal Tech Institute..

    Urinary Tract infection...

Maybe both are just as painful, I dunno.
