Thank you so much for the advice. We stopped a lil ways after the second larger creek crossing and hiked the rest of the way. You weren't shittin! The bushes were all crazy grown up and would've scratched the bejeezus out of my paint! After camping in Chihuahua Gulch, the next day we went to the end of Peru Creek and then the St. Johns trail. I loved that St. John's trail and managed to scare the shit out of the wifey a couple of times going up and down the hills at the top

Here's a few pics from weekend before last.

Our camping spot. Was awesome and a bitch to get to. Had a waterfall right behind our campsite which was very pretty.

On top of St. Johns Trail. I need to ditch those ARB side steps. I beat the shit out of them on Chihuahua Gulch hangin on rocks and crap. I NEED ROCK SLIDERS DAMMIT

I can't remember where this pic was taken but it was beautiful.

    Welcome!!

The Av's site is a daily haunt for me during the season. Planning any changes or upgrades to the site?

You will be able to do trails in the 5-7 rating (per Traildamage) with your plans. Tacomas are very capable. I would get 255/85R16s for the added clearance, instead of the 265/75s.

Do the 2011 Regular Cab 4x4s come with ATRAC or just VSC?

Randomly crossed paths with Blacktacoma23 in a Chipotle/24 Hour Fitness parking lot last night. Haha. If there was a universal "Tacoma wave" I would have used it.

Thanks dude! Glad you're a regular visitor to the site. Planning on upgrading to full HD (finally) so expect to see player interviews, post game recaps, features, etc., in high def.

Not sure if you're into the whole Twitter thing, but I'm slowly revamping our approach and philosophy in regards to social media. So expect a lot of behind-the-scenes photos and updates throughout the course of the season, beginning with training camp and the Burgundy/White game at Air Force Academy.

I need to figure out what I can fit stock, I am trying to avoid lifting for as long as possible.

BTW, I'm the guy who was driving the green Wrangler Ulnimited at the Jambo.

I think it has ATRAC, and I plan on doing the yellow wire mod until I can afford lockers. I need to read up on it more.

The guy driving his Grilfriends Jeep? :D

Good idea, doing the research. 255/85s are taller but skinnier than a 265/75. You should be able to fit them on the stock rim, with the mudflaps removed.

ZING!! Yeah, that was me. For the record, I bought my Taco two days after that so I would never have to drive my girlfriend's Jeep again...

I have started to research tire size, but I haven't gotten too in depth. There are a couple of things I want to get done before that. The key is not whether they will fit, but if I can flex out and not rub or have any issues. I worked at a tire shop for 6 years, so I can go in and test fit anything that I want, flex it out and try something else. The problem is 255/85r16 is not a common size, and I can't order them without paying for them.

I'm going to work on my protection, sliders and skids, then worry about the tires. The other thing to remember is that the 255's will change the gearing a lot and I don't want it to be a dog, so I will have to do gears at the same time, and might as well do lockers while I am in there... see where my problem lies, that's a costly upgrade.

Our trucks may cost a fuck load of $$ but it's an investment ;)
Better than spending that $ on broken engine parts.

That's why I got rid of my 85, too Muhammad money spent on fixing stuff and it was still rough. Engine replaced, transfer and tcase were next. I'd rather start with a platform that was mechanically sound and didn't leak from rust around the windshield...

That's what I get for using my phone in the living room instead of walking the 2.5 feet to my computer. DOH!
