I board. I really liked riding Breck/Keystone/Abasin, but the lines were always so much longer than Copper/ WP ever has been.

I think I'm ganna go with either the Colorado pass or the epic pass. I have a few friends who live in Frisco, Aspen and Vail. So I usually can find a place to stay for free near the mountain

    just saw that ^^

Get the alignment tab gussets from TC like other people said. The LCA gusset is just a skid plate IIRC. If you want to fix it yourself, work that bolt with a good penetrating lube for a couple days and then give it a try yourself. I doubt the LCA needs replacing tho.

i've gotten that for the past 5 years, but i've been going to vail/bc less and less. last year i never made it out there...hard to justify driving 2 hours to wait in long lines of vail and pay $20 to park for snow that is as good as the closer mountains...been hooked on the steeps at abasin

i hear ya...asked because from my experiences and other's experiences, WP is more of a skiers' mountain...although i do like berthoud pass, i'd prefer a splitboard tho now that i sold my skis with AT bindings...back to the 1 plank that i belong on

no more "colorado pass" but they have the same concept with the locals pass but they raised it another $50 to be "epic"...with a place to stay in vail it might be worth it so you don't have to pay for parking and the longer drive is reduced because you can stay couple days easier

    A few bolts are different.
<-- Hates riding Breck. Besides the park there is nothing to play with. Keystone and Abasin are my favorite places to ride.

why did i have to poke my head in here. you guys and talking about skiing. I used to go to Keystone for a week every year. I love that mountain. I'm old and out of shape now and the price for a day of skiing is rediculus. Nearly $90.

How much is the season pass to Keystone/A-basin?

If you want a season pass to Keystone/A-basin, I think it is actually cheaper to get the 3 mountain. Weird how it works, but I think it is just a bundle thing. Not sure on the price, I have not looked into it since I am not getting that pass.

$409 for the summit county pass....unlimited keystone/abasin, breck unlimited but has blackout dates galore

so if you plan on going 5 or more times, season pass is where it's at

or get the abasin bonus pass ($369) for unlimited abasin and 5 days can be used at Breckenridge or Keystone, one of which can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek. Vail/Beaver Creek days restricted 11/25 - 11/26/2011, 12/26-12/31/2011, 1/14/2012 & 2/18-2/19/2012. Bonus Days valid during the 2011/12 season only

That is what I meant, sorry. I asked the MS Toyota about it yesterday, the service writer said they just did one and by the time they got the bolt out they had to replace the whole LCA. I got in my truck and left. HAHA, one of my buddies knows a service writer at the Toyota dealership off Arapahoe, so I may try to take it down there and see if he can get my needle roller bearing done at the same time. Still got 7k left on the extended warranty.

Last year I got the Voile Split Decision Kit and cut a 166cm into a splitboard. 45 degree pitches, nipple deep turns, and not a soul in sight.

I will be taking advantage of that along with a 4 pack at Copper Mountain (or some such shit).

**A word- if your going to be busting up into backcountry, or even slack country/Berthoud Pass, etc., make sure you have extensive Avy knowledge- that shit kills people...

Les'see... views from the top are Emma Burr in the Collegiate Range (by Tincup Pass), one was Mt. Ptarmagin on Vail Pass (snomo-boarding lines), and the other was a skinner up Glacier Peak via Montezuma (behind Keystone).

The funny thing is, you don't get a lot of runs in a day, but the one line you do make is so freakin' sick that I'm usually back in Denver by 2pm.

If you have an old board cut that shit, man. You can get the kit, and skins via ebay for $300 bucks- then transfer it from board to board. The whole process took me about 1.5 hours. (Just don't use a foam core board... but then, you wouldn't be ridding a foamy anyways :D).

I'm telling the wifey that I am doing a Level 1 avy refresher course this year so she will be all happy that I'm "being safe"- but not telling her I am doing it in the San Juans and will be gone for 5 days... HA!
