How about neither one. If you're worried about protection and willing to put that much money down, go with a steel tube or plate bumper. I kinda doubt the ones you mentioned would hold up to anything more than a shopping cart. That's just me though I guess.:D

    what ZACH said above...

i was parallel parking and tapped the car in front of me... nothing happened to the car, but the bull bar bent and caused more damage to my own bumper than what i paid for the bull bar...

when i complained to customer service, i was told that bull bars and brushguards are designed to flex and bend to ensure the safety of the other party you hit, yada yada yada...

that's why the newer the trucks, the less rugged they got... look how low to the ground the new Tundras and Tacomas are compared to the first gen tacomas...

the newer trucks have more fiberglass and composite material to them than most rice rockets...

I would suggest the AP plate bumper, ARB bumper, or elite's plate bumper.

IMO, anything from "stylintrucks.com" isn't going to be functional - only look pretty (if that even).

Aftermarket bumpers generally don't effect newer airbag systems, although I've heard they're more prone to going off because the bumpers (like an ARB) don't deform as much, hence transfering more force to the airbag sensor.

I found the airbag sensor in my truck. It's down by your feet, nowhere near the bumper. I can see your point though... I think some aftermarket bumpers (I know ARB uses them) have crush cans designed to absorb impact that are mounted between the frame and the bumper.
