Camping, fishing, wheeling and drinking coming up this weekend.
I will be up at Middle St. Vrain/Camp Dick on Saturday Sept. 3rd with a couple friends. This will be the maiden voyage for the '84. We plan on spending most the day on Saturday driving around the trails in the area. The trails include: Middle St. Vrain, Coney Flats, Bunce School Road and T-33A Plane Crash.
These are pretty easy trails that stockers could do with some spotting. We will do a few hours of fishing before the night is over and good fishing on Sunday morning. Wouldn't be surprised if we stopped a couple times along the drive to put the poles in at the lake or along the creek.

Anyone is welcome to join for the day or camp with us. Let me know if your interested.

Just picked up my set of Jungle Fender Flares that I am test fitting on the long box Tacomas. These things are really nice, nice smooth molds, easy to work with from what I can tell. Should hopefully have these on this week.

when we did msv and CF i highly doubt a stocker can do it.... we watched a stock jeep wrangler drag some serious fuel tank and diffs and much more other things that dont like rocks.... little harder than stocker imho

Good spotting can get a stock rig through MSV and CF. I spotted my Cousin in a stock 4Runner through it. I am pretty sure this pic is me doing it with no lift or skids.

No the '84, however the 07 is actually due for an emissions this year.

Well i cant really speak for the CF trail but MSV is easy except for one spot. Have to do an S turn and go partly on a large rock, missing the other larger rock. It is really the point where most stockers stop if they are really no there to have fun on the trail. Camping is packed up to this point. Only had my friends 81 on the CF trail. Seemed like there were ways around anything hard.

the hill climb from msv to cf would give stockers a run for their money...that's where we saw a stock jeep dragging their axle and slid on their fuel tank a few times

    Yea you might be right.
Well anyone with 2.5" or higher lifts are more than happy to join us on the trail. Just remember that MadIrish will be there to entertain in his '81 :). You can join him for a ride too if you want. Hang on tight and be prepared to laugh you ass off.

I just did MSV this weekend, there were like 2 sections where I could see a stock truck needing a spotter but it wasn't too bad at all. I was camping on the river right off MSV so I didn't run CF. Caught a few small brookies at the pond up top, overall a great weekend though. My buddy is coming over tonight so I will see if I can get some pictures.

Nice, I always end up with 4+ brookies or rainbows fishing in st. Vrain. There are alot of big, deep holes if you hike upstream a bit. Never caught anything at the pond though.

For those that have never been up here, it is free camping anywhere you can find a spot along the trail and creek. It is busy camping the first 1/4 of the trail and then it tapers off so that you can be fairly secluded after that.
