That's a good question. I have asked myself that also. I think it's more of an edge on the market thing. However, of comparable trucks like the one I have now, GMC's are rated with higher torque for towing, which is one of my reasons for looking into a GMC plus looks. I to like the look of the GMC better. Also GMC doesn't have any cars they only have trucks & SUV's.

 

Hmmm, Wouldn't it save them some money from not having to need to many dealerships and different models?

 

One reason they collapsed like they did. Toyota hasn't had this problem due to the few brands under their name such as Scion and Lexus and whatever else they may own overseas. GM started competing against themselves and was canniblaizing it's own sales.

I know a couple of you guys asked about the new truck I got. Here are some pics for anyone who cares.

When I got it. pretty much stock.






Added a 3" suspension lift and placed the wheels and tires I had on the taco on this truck. Looks really good IMO.

Let me try to work on this week, but I have this really huge project to finish. Actually it's my bobber, that I need to get ready by the 2nd weekend of October. I'll be showing it and I'm reaching my deadline fast.

haha. I hope really soon. I still have everything in boxes still from the move to my new house right now though. I have been wanting to go off-roading but I want to lift it first..... I work the next 3 weekends in a row.

 

off road party sounds fun. too bad nowhere near friendswood/clear lake has ANY places. would be willing to drive somewhere if we can get some others to go

Only thing is family has my weeekends booked seems like through Christmas.

I have a two front mud flaps cut 3" shorter and a front prerunner skid plate. Let me know what they are worth to you.
