Windshield Tint?

I get migraines very easily and especially when i am driving after being inside or at school or what not. I tinted my sides to help but i have heard from some people that you can tint your front windshield a little with a doctors note? Not sure if its true or not it sounds sketchy... also if anyone has tinted it what do they think? i assume it gets very dark at night?

And a decent set of polarized glasses, not cheapo Walmart specials. Might be safer than tinting the windshield.

I actually have a cheap set of gas station polarized glasses that I used for work and they've been goin for over 2 years strong.

I do have an expensive pair of Spy's for when I go out though.

That does look badass, but that won't fly here in CA.

 

i dont doubt it. he is in the MTN's of NC where no one cares. I thought about doing it, but living closer to the cities, no one wants to inspect it.

 

OP try look into transitions sunglasses as well, I used to get tons of migraines too..wearing sunglasses all the time helped

I have 5% all around with 35% full windshield like mentioned above, but minus the 5% top strip on winshield. It's awesome having them on bright days especially when the sun is shinning from the front. At first it seemed to be pretty dark at night while driving, but I got used to them. However, I rarely drive my truck at night. I've heard that you can go any darkness of tints on all your windows including the windshield and be legal by getting a doctors note if you have types of skin cancer such as melanoma and such...IDK. I know my tints are illegal and wearing sunglasses would be suffice, but I tinted mine just because it compliments my truck to my liking even more.

 

I've got 35% on my windshield and I have no problems driving at night. I've got a doctors note for the tint as well.

 

how much does it help when people hi-beam you?

 

It helps some, but when you get used to the tint you can still notice when people high beam you.

 

I have mine tinted 65%. I can BARELY tell a difference at night, and only if you really look at it during the day. I used to use sunglasses every time I drove, but this really cuts down on the sun. also, here in Florida, the heat is a big factor, and this really helps...

 

i know in the state of georgia you can tint whatever you want if have a legit problem with light sensitivity but you need a doctors note

damn that looks sooo sick!
i would only be hesitant about driving at night like that.. its got to be dark.
even if there was a doctors note that allowed you to get that done i feel like im still gonna get pulled over just to show the damn papers.. and while hes at it he can write me up for other things on the taco.. is it even worth it?
