Looking for more trails in central VA

I live in Culpeper in Va and I am looking for more trails to go on I have a 07 taco no lift kit stock tires. So if you have an suggestions let me have em

 

I too would like to know of some other trails in the central va area.

 

I live in DC... I would love to take the tacoma offroad as well.

Any ideas on any trails in the area?

No problem, that first trail in that thread I run quite a bit since its about 5 min from my house. I went on it with the OP of that thread when I was 100% stock and was fine. Actually was able to go places he couldn't Cus of my locker. I have since explored a little further than he has. Its a fun trail. Could prob do more if I had someone else with me so I wouldn't have to worry about getting stuck and stranded. Actually about a week after hurricane irene I went back there and if you reference that thread, where he mentions one mud hole was too deep and muddy for them...I went through it and almost got stuck. The water was really deep and I was barely crawling forward before I got out of it and my truck was COVERED in mud. Couldn't see out any of my windows lol. It was scary since I was alone but got a since of accomplishment. Also referencing his thread.after his picture of his truck in the creek bed under the tree, right after that is a nasty slate rock/cliff climb. I've been up it twice (once 100% stock and once as my truck is now) its not a bad climb if you stay left but going down it is another story. But once you get to the top there's 2 trials that branch off. One leads to another creek crossing and a tight little climb and a huge mud pit where I turned around and the other I have not explored. Coming sown the slate rock hill I mentioned above is def the scariest thing I've done in my truck. I have a few pics I can throw up. If anyone wants to check it out let me know and maybe we can set somthing up

No problem...I think there's some people going to URE in a week or so, its in NC but lots of trails n good people..went down n ran Shoecreek a month or 2 ago with a bunch of TW guys...there was talk about setting up a fall/winter trip

 

What kinda mode do most of the guys have on there truck, and are most of the trails easy for stock trucks to go on?

shoecreek is pretty tame, there are hard parts but there are alternate routes around most of them. only 2 people had to be pulled up on of the hills out of 16 or so trucks. all of the trucks with us had at least a 3in lift and ranged as far as full armor and mud tires. i think a stock truck would be able to handle alot if not all of it with the side routes and good spotting

i cant speak for URE but if you look in the regional thread youll find a few threads about the park and trails

I made it through shoecreek in all but one spot. Big hole in front of a big rock up a hill. I had to get pulled over the rock.
I have no lift with AT tires. You'll do fine when it's dry, don't try it when it's wet.
