    that 5 pounder is a nice fish. The lake I fish at is super clear so the bass dont have lots of coloration like that one does (as you can tell from the pic in my post)

    I try to freshwater fish, not much success though lol. I'm a saltwater guy. Place at the beach closed up for the season though and boat winterized.:(

    Hope to have a little success with freshwater this fall.

    Ive never had luck w/ topwater. I get most of my bass using a texas rig w/ no weight, letting it sink nice and slow, then a brisk retrieval. They usually hit right when the worm stops sinking.
