maybe with the cover you have for the lift it'll keep the working parts clean enough during the winter, but that's one thing you'd have to think about it how much slush and dirt will end up on the lift if you keep it on the bumper...

roof would be good but a bit more work to get to when you need it

OME is what i have, i believe its around $700, maybe less with the TW discount Toytec gives.

Bob, yeah, i was thinking about the slush and crap that would get on it durring the winter, but all the moving parts are covered by the neoprene, still probably not the best thing for it. Looks like ill either buy a bed bar, or figure out how to mount it higher up near the cab.

Get the diff drop. Less angle on the cv joints.

I didn't do the diff drop... I guess this might wear out the CV boots prematurely...?

I did pretty much the same lift. 886's with OME shocks, and Wheeler's AAL + TSB AAL... I haven't noticed any issues, but I don't want to run into any down the road because of the lift.

I tried posted some questions in the general area... let's just say the response was pretty underwhelming. Just people arguing, no real solutions.

I've just seen way too much gloom&doom on lifts, and talked to way too many people about it, and again it's all gloom&doom. A lot of people said I would completely F my truck up by lifting it (even 3") and I shouldn't do it...

i've had my lift on since 2006 and put nearly 70k miles on it without any cv boot issues :knockonwood:

i've hear people have issues with skid plate fitment with the diff drops too...so that's another thing to consider

but it could be a good peace of mind to have it in there if you are concerned about the angles...for $29 it shouldn't be a deal breaker

OK so everyone with video footy or pics. I need you to send them to my inbox.
I remember some gave me there link on this thread but i couldnt find the page

I prefer HD vids only, but if you have something thats at least decent Ill use it.

I have a program to where I can DL vids off youtube and photobucket so a link to that will work too.

You guys are gonna be goin nuts with the new video editing software I got! Give me time though, Its gonna take a few weeks to learn. I messed with it last night. The effects this thing has is nuts.

I just cant figure out how to add text titles to clips. Ill get it though.
