    Ken:
The average yearly rainfall in Bowie, MD is just under 45 inches a year. We already have had 56 inches this year with 3 months to go and it is raining today.

Hi Tom, with that much rain:rain:....You should have made the shed dual purpose so you could use it as a boat if need be:notsure:...I've been lucky with no flooding especially in the basement...my neighbor has a BIGGG sink hole in her back yard...haven't seen her hubby around for a few days so she's filling it in herself...just kidding....she does have a big sinkhole cause the storm drain line collapsed. Township is going to repair it...Try to stay dry.. predicting rain here in PA only on Tuesday and dry the rest of the week.....Ken

    Ken:
My home does not have a basement. I worked repair for the local phone company for 11 years and never went into a home with a basement that did not leak so a basement was not all that important to me at the time. Now I would not mind a basement and a 5 car garage with a wash bay and a service bay with a lift.

    I am thankfull that I have a 2 car garage. ;)

Tom, my last house had a crawl space and all the plumbing was in it....everytime we had a leak, I felt like the troll under the bridge while repairing the leak...I swore if we ever moved, the next house would have a basement...French drain works great and no leaks...missus won't let me put lift in garage, she says it's okay to wash the Tacoma AND her car in the driveway:confused:!!!! Ken:
Today was the first day in about 3 weeks that the weatherman did not extend the rain into another day. Hoping the sun comes out tomorrow and the rest of the week. If it does I will be painting the back side of the shed next week.

morning all: finally; looks like a 5 day run with no rain forecast. congrats to 1'st place with car, know all about spending hundreds to get a $6 trophy. now if only we could get a batch of homemaid cookies to go with the trophy. anyone ever make -hurst's HAMBEENS brand 15 bean soup? this stuff is awesome. takes a little time to make but well worth it. I put both the smoked ham hocks, and smoked sausage in. otherwise follow recipe on pkg. took this (pre-made) to maine for years, and enjoyed every last bit of it.

We've got a large basement - had a full set of French drains put around the foundation and despite a high water table around our property have never had any leakage issues.

Jim - have you ever shot Sporting Clays? I did for the first time a few weekends ago and loved it! Much more like hunting that trap or skeet, I think.
