This mod will not work for you then.

    x2

Flip the switch and ABS is disabled, flip it back and ABS is enabled. It's like magic! :D

Really though, I think we covered this in the thread already. Reread the OP, see the paragraph titled "How does it work?", and see post #11 for an explanation of what the gauge cluster looks like when the mod is active.

I'm going to have to do this....my town has the bumpiest f-ed up streets in the world. Even stopping at most intersections I almost can't because the damn ABS kicks in. I hate the brake pedal "shuddering".

    Great write up!!!

I propose that that we have zero problems because it works with no side effects. Everything in this mod is fundamentally sound. I studied the wiring diagram before doing anything. :) And I'm not the originator of this mod, I just made it more simpler by locating the wiring under the dash, thanks to tineker12 who I thanked in the OP.

I think I have a solution for you non-locker-with-VSC types. And I think you're going to like it. I'm going to create a thread in the technical section for technical review and scrutiny.

I did this mod and only two warning indicators lit up, the Rear Locker and the "ABS". Where is this VSC indicator located???

    enough to get me there
Do you reconnect the IB1 connector after you splice and connect the switch? Or do you leave it unplugged?

Tony, you must reconnect it. I don't think the truck will work if it's unplugged permanently.

Thank you. I've started a brand new thread here for discussion on this method.

Dunno. Never seen a wire map for an FJ before.

so no one has experienced any problems using this mod? and just to re cap.. im splicing into blue/yelow wire and very simpily grounding it, while adding a switch to the ground wire to be able to control the ground or lack of.. correct?

No money, all went to truck...
I have read this thread, I am going to have to do this.

    Questions for you guys:
    1. when the switch is on it turns on the VSC off light. Does that mean VSC is off?
    2. Is TRAC still working?
    3. Does the locker actually engage?
    4. does this work on 2012s?

    Thanks!
