I have only had my truck detailed once since I had it; it will be almost a year now and would like to get it done before the cold weather hits.

What are my steps and what will I need?

Like car wash soap, clay, wax, ect...

Also which brand should I go with? I hear mothers is really good an¥ other suggestions would be great.

What should I use for the interior as well?

I also have some stain on my seat; what is the best way to get it out if possible? I'm pretty sure the stain is some sort of sauce and the other... maybe water stain...?

I have read thru the sticky but don't have enough time to read as I'll be in class pretty much all day and would just like to grab some stuff on the way home.

Finally, where would I buy these products? walmart? target?

    Thank You VERY much.

You don't have to read the full thread, read the first 2 posts. There's a lot of great information and recommended products. I'm doing something similar and using Mother's Caranuba wash, Meguiars Clay Bar kit (comes with quik detailer and quik wax), Meguiars Ultimate Compound as a polish, then finishing up with the quik wax that came with the clay bar kit. All products should be available at your local auto parts store, some might be found at Wally World but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

I've used the meguiars clay bar. Works very well. Time consuming but well worth it. I took the advice and used the gold class soap, and wax. I try to keep my interior pretty clean and usually do so I don't have any serious issues with stains on seats or anything. Just a little dirt on the carpet at the seat. Mounts.

Hell if I know, I was just going off the "Ask a detailer thread" where it says, wash, clay bar, polish and finish with a wax. I'm detailing mine this weekend so I'd like to know the steps for sure also. I thought I had it but now you're throwing doubt into the mix...

Debadged, removed pinstripe, window tint, borla muffler.
I really like meguiars products. It can be found at walmart or auto parts store. I wash, dry, clay bar, polish, wax. Don't waste your time with armor all. If your do not have a wash mit get one, same with microfiber towels. Im no Detailing pro, but I keep my stuff shiny, and I hope I can save someone from wasting time and money on bad products.

I use this stuff on my tonneau cover and a year later after I got it, it still looks brand new...and my truck sits out in the direct sun for the majority of the day on most days of the week

Wash, clay, polish, and wax. I like the mothers clay bar and detail spray better. It removes things like overspray a lot better. Ask me how I know! Lol that being said though. I like me meguiars too and use a lot of their products.

Wash, and Clay bar (i like using liquid claybar along with the actual Clay Bar), Then quick wash to get off the liquid claybar and wax. I usually use a glass cleaner too that comes out of the spray can as a foam. Works great inside and out. As for the inside you ca really use any vehicle cleaning products. They sell interior cleaner in a spray bottle with a scrubber on it at wally world :)
