Not looking for a safety lecture......

PLEASE HELP ME DISABLE THIS THING....
Unfortunately, the key sequence mod on this site does not work for the 2012 Tocoma. I’m hoping to find a solution that doesn't require cutting wires, unplugging connectors, or fastening a seatbelt extender. There has to be a software mod but the dealer claims there is no way....I call BS

    Any ideas?

BTW, I bet there is no way in hell a dealer would tell you this even if it can be done. : )

    Weird.

So, it is not in the 2012 manual, and the previous mod does not work?

Just to give another view to the "just put it on" crowd what the hell do you if you have something heavy on the passenger seat causing the beeper to go off? That is why I killed mine on my 2008 and 2010

LOL...my groceries set off my airbag chime just yesterday; it only lasted about 20 seconds though (my on/off switch is behind my GPS mount). Not sure if there was a seatbelt chime, though.

I dont need a car thinking for me. I have a problem paying 30k to be nagged....Automatic door locks suck too.

It's like Toyota saying "Buckle Up Dumb Ass"...."Oh, you have groceries? Sorry....."

If you need to put something heavy on the seat, like groceries, click the seatbelt first. You can even use the seatbelt to help secure things in place. I do it all of the time.

There's not enough room for putting everything on the floor and I'd rather not have my food in bed. I only imagine how long ice cream and fruit would last in the summer.

Here's a revolutionary idea: wear your seatbelt and buckle the passenger seat when you have groceries in it!

    No safety lecture here.

It's programmable. Have the dealer shut off the extended beep.
If they won't, find another dealer.

Sorry to burst your bubble... It's dealer customizable. It's in the 2012 owners guide page 586 under custom options. Find another dealer. Or show the manual to your service sept. I'm sure there are a couple more options available too if the service tech is nice.

I always use my selt belt but there is no point in wearing it if I am driving on the beach.
