Help with toytec lift

i just bought the 3 inch adjustable 3 inch lift from toytec and i could use some help with where i set it to get the three inches of lift when i have my springs put on my shocks. is there a reference point or something.

 

Do you have a link to the lift? Are you talking about the adjustable toytec coilovers?

 

This is the best way to get an accurate measurement. ^
Drive around the block to settle the suspension, park on level ground, and measure straight up from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender.

 

I think OP was referring to the shock setting

 

This is how I interpreted it as well.

I don't know which lift kit you are talking about, but I assume it is the adjustable kit with the 5100's and if so, click here for some instructions that another member posted up.

thanks for the help guys . guess i should have put this link on there to start with. i kinda just went with it and bought alot of shit lol. i got this lift and xd crank wheels nitto trail grapplers k&n c/a intake. subwoofoers and custome box and amp all by kicker.and a cd player. hoping it all works out.

Our D558 only has two lift settings- Middle 1.25", Top 2.5"

 

So I looked at that website . Why would it be set on .85 instead of 2.5

 

To minimize the lift you get? I guess I don't understand your question?

I have this lift. I got the full 3" with the 5100's @ .85" with one of these on the driver side:
and the 1/4" spacer on the passenger side.

My fender to hub is 23"

 

Some may use the .85" setting to level their stock truck front to rear.

 

So ajohnson. How do u like that lift. How's the ride . And how hard was it to install. How long did it take.

 

I love the lift. It is what I expected for the price. The ride is firmer than stock but not harsh, and it greatly reduced brake diving and body roll through turns.

It took me 4 hours to complete, including taking the shocks to a shop to swap the springs. I changed my UCA's while I waited for the shocks.

 

I have that setup. It works well for me. I'm slightly under 23 inches with my winch.

Yes if you want the truck to drive well with a 3" lift, especially on the highway. I notice a lot of people say that their alignment is fine with stock UCA's on a 3" lift. I don't believe them. I think they just "tolerate" the driving characteristics. If you install new UCA's, I highly doubt you will regret it. Light Racing makes the most affordable/adjustable UCA's, that is what I use and I am very pleased with them.
