I'm planning on ordering Katzkin upholstery for my new Taco double cab.

2011-2012 have airbags in the seats don't they?

Anybody here with Katzkins? Just wanted to get some feedback in regards to quality, color choices, installation and airbag support.

It's either going to be this, or I'd replace the seats with racing seats.

I got the GT seat covers, and they have an option for side airbags. If you look at my pictures, you might be able to see how they address the airbag situation. It's a flap of material that folds under the seat cover, but can be pushed open by the airbag when needed.

I'll make it easier. Yup, on the side of the seat, by the SRS tag, you can see that flap, tucked under the seat cover.

Installation takes time, and the warmer the air is, the better, as the foam-backing on the cover "grabs" the cloth seat and you're sitting there inching it on bit-by-bit. Warmer weather will allow the vinyl (or whatever material you choose) to be a little softer, and little more pliable and hopefully, easier to put on so that you don't risk tearing the seams.

I love my katzkins. Yes the 2011-2012 come standard with air bags.

Check out the katzkins grooup buy thread on here John Huey is a great guy to work with and offers amazing discounts.

I have katzkins black leather in mine. Love it. Fitment is perfect. The only thing I had to "modify" was stuff a small piece of black vinyl into each corner of the seat (where the back meets the seat, near the hinges) because I could see a tiny bit of foam (contrasting with the black) Maybe it was just me being OCD.

I'm looking at the Katzkin thread, thanks 08PRELB,

I'm looking to get a non-conventional color combo. Kind of like the Camaro type of scheme where the back is all-black and the entire front face is bold color like maroon or medium red (Porsche Cayman-style) with perforated center panels.

If I decide to go a little more conservative, I might do brown saddle color or something like that.

Hi Andrew, is it you who orders the Katzkin? Or do you get in contact with John Huey? I'm reading through the thread, but it's quite big, so I haven't picked it all yet.

Like I mention above, it'll likely be an unconventional color scheme. Would you mind telling who I should call. I little phone call might go a long way to clarify a few things. Thanks, Danny

Love mine. They are made for side airbags. At least that's what they say on that little tag near the seam at the shoulder.

As long as you keep them conditioned they will last a LOOONG time. I condition mine about once a month to every other month depending on when i clean the interior. I use Lexol leather cleaner, then Lexol conditioner. Mine feel as soft as they were brand new and they're almost 2 years old now.

Oh wow. Thanks for posting those. Seeing how those looks makes me stop considering the other option - replacement racing seats. Those look great!
