Got mine a few days ago. Let them breathe for a bit to help with that wetsuit smell. Now I have them installed. Here are some pics from FJ-Land ;) (just got the fronts cause the driver's seat was showing signs of wear, couldn't justify doing the back at this point)

Thanks again for the group buy!!

I realize I'm taking some chances with fading by going with the blue but it was too tempting with the perfect match with the interior trim pieces. Just gonna try and be diligent with the UV protectant.

Wow. Those blue seats look SWEET. Nice decision.

Completely happy. Personally I like how it adds some contrast to the interior. The sport seats do have a couple different fabrics, but it all generally looked grey against a grey interior. Now less dull looking.

I would have definitely gone with piping if I ordered a solid color. That looks great. I do slightly wish I ordered 2-color embroidery though with red TRD logo for that little extra bling.

Kudos to the people who could install without taking out the front seats. That would've tested my patience.

Not 100% sure yet if I am digging the console cover but it's not bad. I wonder how mine would have looked with black headrest covers...

I used a cutoff wheel, just the regular one and a sanding drum (1/2") for two tight spaces near the edge. You could do the whole thing with either one if needed. You'll see what you have to remove when you take it apart.

You basically want to remove the "mushroom head" from the plastic welds and make it flat. I found that when it was all sanded down and while the plastic was still a little warm from sanding I would pry up and make a nice, nearly perfect break.

The whole process took just over an hour for two doors, start to finish.

Good luck! It's a pretty simple mod and makes a big improvement.

What color console cover did you get? I got a gray one and it looks OK. Did you get fabric for the arm rests?

I reckon I can't get in on this GB. I'd really like some black and charcoal seats with the black TRD etching. I've seen several members with that and it looks good. I like it better than the TRD seats with the red etching.

My console cover is black. I was thinking of gray, but the guy from Wet Okole suggested black because that area tends to get dirty. The color isn't a deal-breaker, but considering how the seat covers fit (which is awesome) I guess I was expecting a little better fit for the console cover. However, it's better than not having a cover, and it was a freebie so I shouldn't bitch.

I didn't get arm rest fabric. I had been eyeing the leather arm rest mod and had some big doubts about how the thickness of the neoprene would work. Thus I decided to wait for a mod day when I plan to take the doors apart and add new speakers and sound deadening and leather arm rests. In hindsight, some neoprene armrests would be sweet. I may go back to Wet Okole later to see if I can get additional fabric depending on how I feel in a couple weeks.

It sounds like there are several folks on this group buy alone that got way too much fabric, so I imagine you could pick it up for cheap from them.

Yeah - for those folks that put the material in their arm rest, I'd be interested to hear how it holds up after a few months of abuse. Also I'm curious if the thickness of the neoprene made it more difficult?

If that's all you need to know, there are quite a few people who did their armrests a long time ago. Try a few searches and see if you can find their threads - I'll look here in a bit after my meetings.

from everything I read, the people that used the WO material said it was perfect. I havent read anything about it wearing out or anything like that.

Got my full set today. They really look good! :broccoli:
I'll let them air out for a few days before I install them
then I'll post a pic or two. The neoprene smell is pretty strong.

He he... I think it's funny that people let them air out because of the neoprene smell... As a long time kayaker, the smell of (clean and dry) neoprene just brings to mind brand new kayaking gear! It's like Christmas in my truck! :D

But I can understand that it can be overwhelming to most people. Regardless, it's a great product, I think it's gonna protect our seats for a long time, especially if you have pets/kids and if you do a lot of outdoor activities. Next to my WeatherTech floor liners it should keep the truck cleaner and make it easier to clean it. I only wish the fit of the Okole would be a bit better around some of the corners, but I just put them on, so maybe they will stretch and fit better with time.

    That blue looks great!

Mine came in last night and I laid them out in the garage to air out a bit, walked in the garage this morn and the smell bout gave me a headache! I'm glad I decided to air them out a bit, I have a week of leave so I'll install them when I can't fight the install itch!

I turned mine inside out to help speed up airing them out.
