Do you get a lot of spray from your front tires onto your doors without the mudflaps and with the sliders? Would you recommend getting a flat plate welded on top?

The rock crushers really protect the doors alot from spray, but you still have a decent build at the front of the door without flaps. When I came home and started cleaning it up, I also noticed some straight lines of spray from the first 2 openings.

I think if you had a 3 or 4 inch flap, the sliders would protect everything else. If I did anything, I would think about putting some mesh on the underside, not putting anything on the top.

 

That's a good idea.

OP would you be able to make these with a metal plate welded on the underside and with kickouts?

Story on the brick, a brick company used to own the land we were on and they would use bricks to build the road back up.

We went back down there today and had some fun. When I got home, I looked at my truck and had a great example of the spray pattern through the sliders.



I wouldn't get a full plate on the bottom. Things will fall in and collect and then add moisture... A mesh would still catch larger objects, but moisture would dry out easily.

 

Hmm that's true, what are the negatives to putting a plate on top?

 

I'm wondering about adding kickouts, too, on hybrids for an Access Cab.

Also curious about how much for you to install them? Weld/bolt?

AND, is there more of a discount if we also purchase a front bumper (w/ hoop)?

Yes we can do Kick out's it's an additional 75.00 on top of the Hybrid price. I would love to see some pics of them on Tacoma's too.
