    yea idk about the mudflaps thing...last time i had mine ripped off and happened again since that trip so i was thinking of just removing them for the trip...maybe i'll keep them on with a screw until the trail then remove them..

    I know of at least one Moab cop that wheels and happens to be a Tacoma fan as well. He stopped by our campsite a couple nights when we were there this summer to BS about toyotas and to check out our tent as he was in the market for a new RTT for his wife's 4Runner. He had traded his modded 1st Gen for an FJC which he had lifted and fitted a Maggiolina RTT as well. Cool guy and one of only a few Toyota guys I met in our week down there.

    I know he's just one guy but in sure there are other LEOs that support the hobby. It's part of the town thru and thru, it seems unlikely there would be much hassle for petty vehicle regs unless people act like jerks as someone already mentioned.

    Big mistake if your going to wheel in the rocks aluminum skids will be mangled in one trip to MOAB. i would go steel and just remove the belly pan for everyday driving. Aluminum skids are not good for rock crawling.
