    Not sure if im posting this in the correct forum but here goes, does anyone know how to disable the annoying door chime on the 2012 Taco? I barely bought it Monday and already the damn thing has me annoyed!!

    Have to request it from the dealer. It's listed as an option in the manual

    Very true, usually- but now Toyota (and all auto manufacturers) are going the route of locking that kind of thing up in firmware, and unless you have the key (software interface) you are out of luck. Same with the seatbelt chime on my 2012.
