    I ordered online through my local dealer and picked it up at the parts counter to save on shipping costs, though they may be able to ship it to you. I don't see why they couldn't. It was there 3 days after ordering it.

    I think the overall goal we (or myself at least) are trying to achieve is to come up with a cost effective, safe, somewhat easy, versatile, and good-looking OEM solution for heated mirrors. So far, I have been really impressed with the input/feedback/ideas from a lot of the guys in this thread.

    Lol, yeah my dad already enlisted me to do his also (he bought the EXACT same truck in Pyrite Mica because he liked mine so much, how's that for flattery). I'll let you know when I post my install guide.

    Thanks man! I was very methodical with the planning and execution of this project, and it seemed to pay off well. I added a link in piercedtiger's Cheap/Free Mods thread, but it would be nice to have a link on the main page.

    I am planning on doing this soon, I have the factory Toyota button, connector, and bulb in my cart. I am about to order the female terminals from Ballenger, so I still need the heated elements, wire and a "add a fuse". Anyone have a link to where to get the right kind of ada a fuse setup to get power for this mod, I am fuse box illiterate... :)

    I just completed mine using the eBay elements. I am using the highlander Oem switch. The mirrors get real hot real fast so I recommend changing the switches timer from 15 to 5 minutes. I'm going to look into doing this

    You may be able to replace the 555 timers resistor, but I'm sure it's surface mount and without tweezers, small iron and magnifying glass, it would be difficult. If the overall degree of heat is a concern, I'd rather opt to add a resistor inline of the output (to the elements) to reduce voltage and leave the 15 minutes alone.
    This is what I had to do when I did this with my other vehicle. The Tacoma glass is dual pane and my car is single pane. In the winter, it shock cooled and broke the mirror on the car. Shawnd who live like 4 miles from the North pole (hi hi) hasn't had any issues arise from shock cooling that I'm aware of (I'm sure he''ll chime in).
