IFS vs. SFA

Anyone have a SFA in there second gen? What do you guys like? Duke it out!

There's maybe 3 SAS'd 2nd gens on the site; what info are you looking for?

Sounds like trolling for a SAS vs. IFS debate...

 

If you really need a solid front axle, then it's worth it. For most people, it's not worth the time and money it takes to do the swap.

 

No it is not worth doing. UNLESS

You have umpteen amount of dollars in your bank (5-50k)

You enjoy wrenching on your truck every time you take it out to wheel

You don't drive it on the road unless you had some serious ttention to detail put into your truck, not to mention countless hours and $.

You like to jump to get in your truck

 

if you're gonna be offroading 90% of the time on crawler obstacles, then yes.

but a good SAS is like $10k+. The Awsumdc project has like $100,000,000,000,000k in it

 

If you like to wheel hard stuff then it's worth it if done right. But you better have a big credit card and a lot of information before you begin but it's not cheap to do these things right if your going to not only wheel them but drive them on the road.

Mine has been driven over 900 miles to the rubicon and back while wheeling the rubicon as well. But then again, I spared no expense when building it. To me it was and is worth it. to others it's not. For each person there is no debate. It's a choice you make and then you spend the time finding reasons why you did it.
