I am installing (will be later today) a set of backup sensors in my 2006 Tacoma and the control unit gets power from the reverse light wires, simple, but the control unit is supposed to be located in a "dry" spot, so under the bed is not a great location, I was going to locate the control unit behind the rear seats in my DC, and there is more than enough wire to do this, only problem is the power tap cable for the control unit is about 10" long, so it won't reach to the tail lights. Simple stupid fix is to just make theses wires longer, but the smarter fix would be to find the reverse light power cables in the cab, because they have to run up there, question is, were are they? I will keep looking, but I figure someone here has located theses wires before.

I will try to do a write up on the install too. I have everything I need except the location of these wires so I don't have to run a long power cable back to the tail lights.

    THANKS

It looks like the wires run under the door sills on the drivers side of the truck, now to identify the wires...

It is a large red wire in the driver's side kick panel. Do a search and you should find it. I'll edit this post with a link if I find it real quick
