Well I've been working on the tacoma srs airbag wiring for a few days, plenty of soldering, splicing, and studying schematics.

FINALLY warmed up above freezing temps long enough for me to wash the old girl, and I installed my Christmas present..Ahhh satellite radio add on to my Pioneer AVH P-3300 with the Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Radio unit. Easier install than I was fearing. I put it under the passenger seat and ran wires no problemo.... and now schweeeeeeet static free music on my ride to work... ahhhh

How do you like it? I have been thinking about getting it for my AVH P4200. How big is the unit? You say you put it under the passenger seat?

Made some frame reinforcement mounts for when I really need to pull from my bumper, started on my skids, and aligned my lights.

I really like it. I live in a very rural area so static radio is a constant, plus I drive an hour + one way to work every day so it was a worthwhile investment. The control unit is about an inch thick and maybe 7"X10". Not big at all. I put it under the passenger seat no problem. Took the seat out, unplug the airbag plug, used four screws that came with unit to attach it somewhat to the carpet just to hold it in place. I put the elbow brackets that came with the unit on the high position just to give it airflow space below it because there are floor vents under the seat. There are two cords for the unit, one goes to the antenna and one goes to the radio with a power line attached to it. I ran the antenna cord under the carpet out the passenger door at the upper dash level, went right to the hood and up the windshield line to the roof where the antenna 'blob' attaches via a strong magnet to the roof. *TIP* the cord will sink/fit right into the windshield channel but use a CREDIT CARD to push it down in there not a flat head screwdriver...that insulation is NOT tough and you will cut it. yes i found out the hard way, electrical tape is my friend. Then I ran the other radio/power cord up the floorboard behind the glove box (easy to take out) fished it behind the radio plugged in the cord, clamped the power line onto the radio power line and BOOm. Done. Then activation was SIMPLE. I went online, entered info and had the radio on while they sent my signal. Much easier than I thought. The whole process including activation took mmmmaybe 45 minutes.
