Yeah im sure that if you redirected your exhaust tip into the cab of your truck, the sound would be different. I dont care what kind of screw on tip you want to put on there its not going to do anything.

I just don't believe it. I will have to see a video or something. It would seem that its more of an acoustic brain teaser. Like if you point your exhaust at the ground it souds deeper. Probably because the sound bounces off the ground and back up.

Dude your own article that you posted up proved that you were wrong, give up. Check out the link above your post if you still think your right. I will give you that "screw on tips" won't change the sound cuz you buy those at autozone or pepboys and have you ever bought anything that added a significant performance boost from there?? FYI don't redirect your exhaust into the cab of your truck that shit will kill you!!!!

That is true. But you have to think about the how an exhaust is designed. Larger or smaller in/out pipes affect the sound, right? So if you change the design at the end of the pipe where the sound exits, then the sound will be effected. Different shapes, angles, sizes will change the sound because the sound waves are reverberating off of the material as it exits.

I got it. Still though say you have a 3" pipe coming out of your muffler. IF you put a 5" tip on it. I say it wont make a differece. If you put a 2" tip on it it would because you would be restricting the exhaust. 5" would be totally for looks because there would be no restriction or less restriction. I bet you could put a little turbo fan at the end of your exhaust and make it whistle too:rolleyes:

    Blown fuse is my guess

I believe they are both on the same fuse. Check the fuse panel under you dash. Should say "cigarette lighter"

Thanks - actually, the fuse for the cigarette lighter was never there and it was working which leads me to think that one of the PO's tried re-wiring it...

Dome never worked, even after I plugged the fuse in...

Muzzle Breaks/Flash Hiders/Compensators/Supressors can all change how a rifle sounds...

Thats different. Guns have gasses and a solid projectile coming out of a tube. They are also coming out at much higher speeds and pressures. I would aim to guess thousands of times more.

    Nope, same concept. I win.

Hey jr97tacoma did you install your differential drop?? If so was it hard. I've been thinking about getting one cuz my cv axle angles are pretty bad but I've also heard mixed reviews about them. How do you like yours, would you recommend getting one?

do you have vibrations? if not leave it alone. Get some high clearance boots when your CV's blow if your angles are that bad.

If you have front end vibrations right now then I would try a drop.
