    This is my fourth Niner. Currently I have also a Niner RIP with XTR and 140mm fork for the rough stuff. Their geometry just fits me so well. Chris Sugio the founder is my same height (5'6"), he makes bikes that he can ride.

    Niner seemed to be the first 29 frame maker to figure out the geometry, I think 29ers got bad press initially was due to other frame makers rushing in without really doing their homework. Now there are lots of good makers out there but for me Niner, just fits and they're innovators too.

    i didnt see the tires haha but yeah the mats make sense...and the two work stands bolted down.

    bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
    anyone bought a bike online prior to riding it? debating between keeping the hardtail and upgrading the components or buying a new full suspension.

    That is one sweet ride!! Just built a Niner EMD 3 weeks ago and just ordered an Air 9 frame for another build. It must be a sickness!!!

    Really depends on your riding intentions and the trails you will ride most.
    What do you have as a hardtail and what type of terrain you enjoy/have around?
    The internet is great for individual items and their pricing, however, for complete bikes, sometimes its better to support your local bike shop for the whole package. It may be slightly more up front, however, they usually will take good care of you down the road should something need repair.
