I will tell you all what I am thinking and from there I would love opinions and feedback.

So I am looking for a mesh grille with either black, chrome, or blue surround. I want to do mesh because I want to do two lights behind it.

All that being said...what kind of grille is good (decent price) what color would you go with (my truck is blue) and what kind of lights should I get. I have found a few grilles that I like but the lights are leaving me stumped. I have never bought any before so, what's good and what is a "normal" price for something decent?

Thanks so much for all of the help and feedback.

the grill mesh should be black, silver/polished mesh just dont look good anymore imo (no offense to anybody with the silver mesh lol). and the grill can be a satoshi or a grillcraft, which is what im going with

Lights will work just as well behind a billet insert, prolly better.

Yeah I don't want chrome mesh. Mesh is going to be black. I am talking about the surround.

also agree with the satoshi and homertaco makes some pretty sick grilles. As for the lights i have 2 Hella HIDs mounted on a light bar. the grille will run anywhere from 200-400 bucks and the lights and light bar i got from another member on here so not sure what you will pay anywhere else.

Well I messaged him but that is a LONG wait list lol at least that lets me know how good his stuff is...I like his work though! Back to the lights, I have heard great things about the hella lights so that's probably what I am looking at getting.

Cool post some pics when you get it and put it on. I am pretty much on the bottom of the list lol. I think I am just going to wait and get a grill from him.

The alternative to waiting for a Homer taco grill is to make your own. He also sells mesh which takes much less time. Thats what I did. No pics yet, just finished and installed last night

Install was a breeze. No pics of the fabrication process though. Homer taco has a bunch of threads on it. I used his threads to do mine. Fabrication wasn't hard, just time consuming. I opted to do the thin lip version which worked out cause you don't have to mess with fiberglass or plastic and Bondo. Hardest part is getting a clean looking cut. I didn't get as clean a cut as I wanted so I put edge trim over it. Had a body shop color match the surround. Good to go.

If you look closely in the first picture you can see the edge trim over the inner lip of the grille. And the second one should give you an idea on the depth you can get without having to patch the holes left from the center cross pieces. Homer calls it a thin lip. The mesh is his m4 I just had it powder coated.

UPDATE: I know that it has been a while since I posted on here but with that being said thanks for the advice everyone. I actually just ordered a grille to do give the Satoshi mod a shot I will post pics and stuff of how it turns out. I have worked with fiberglass before so I am not too worried about that. Also I am going to take it to a local shop to have it color matched and as far as the mesh that I am using the only thing I know for sure is that I do want it powder coated black but I am torn between the M0 style and the Raptor style mesh that Homersatoshi sells if I do the Raptor style I will still do a set of Hella's but not behind the grille. I am going to order some Hella 500's so if anyone on here has a set they want to get rid of holla lol. Also that light bar that you got for your lightforce's is pretty awesome so I will probably put in for one of those as soon as I get the grille all finished up and get the lights ordered. After this I will be moving on to:
    1. Headlights-I am just going to bake them and take out the reflectors and the yellow stuff. I have seen some people on here that have done that and I love how clean it looks.
    2. Toyotec lift-pretty self explanatory, just have to save up the funds lol
    3. Tires-looking at doing BF all terrains

Maybe in that order and I am not too sure if I am going to stick to that specific lift and tire combo so if there is anyone who knows a lot about that stuff let me know what you think (pic's would be awesome). So yeah stay in touch everyone and thanks for all the help and advice I will let you all know how the Satoshi turns out.
