    This grill offers the exact same clearance behind it a the stock one.... For this year you would have to work out a flush mount type of main grill but even then you would only gain about an inch more behind the mesh...

    Actually I like working with plastic on the second gen grills... It's the first two styles of first gen grills that I can't stand the plastic... It does not form well & It is difficult to work with. I'm being polite with my description too... :rolleyes:
